Ever wonder if your heating and cooling equipment is sized properly? Does your equipment come on and then go off a lot? Does your heating bill stay the same even though you upgraded to a Hi-efficiency heating system? How do contractors size the equipment for a home or business? Does he just check the sizing of the old equipment and replace it with the same size, in a lot of cases yes that is how it is done.  That my friends is a real problem.  This article is written by my friend Mr. John Barba from Taco.  He explains why you need top do the “MATH”.

This is a great story coming out of California.  They asked for 250 MWTs and when they received the bids in they were offered 10 times that amount.  You will also see that the dropping costs of Solar Panels is being driven by CHINA. Seriously, why can’t we make these panels here for a competitve cost?  Why do we continue do allow our manufacturing industry to decline and go elsewhere. I don’t have the answers, but is it taxation on our companies (yes), is it the cost of retirement programs (yes), is it capitolist engine that drives our need for more and consequently adds dilbilating costs to manufacturing industry. This is what’s bankrupting the Auto industry. I bet if you were to ask any manufacturing company what thier biggest burden is it wouldn’t be the raw materials they purchase to manufacture their products.  While I’m all for having everyone live the dream, that dream is becoming the nightmare and it is standing in our way, actually it is a nightmare.  Back to the basics folks, and don’t take more then you need.  We need to get out of our own way. If we are to gain back what we lost we need to take less.
